New methods for assessing the flow regime of watercourses

Bern, 25.02.2008 - Hydrology-Flow Regime module within the Modular Stepwise Procedure

In addition to water quality and the spatial and structural conditions of waters, the rate of flow is the third decisive influencing factor for the ecological state of watercourses. The Hydrology-Flow Regime module in stage F (regional scale), HYDMOD-F for short, within the Modular Stepwise Procedure is the method for describing the hydrological conditions of a region by logging water resources management measures and assessing their effects on the flow regime.

The draft method and the electronic tools can be found on the Modular Stepwise Procedure website.
