New hydrological overview maps
Bern, 15.04.2008 - The FOEN measures water levels and discharge of Swiss watercourses. The real-time and historical data of each measuring station can be consulted directly online, and is now also available in the form of regularly updated overview maps comparing the real-time situation with historical data.
The following maps are available:
- River discharge (general situation): current flow rates, expressed as a percentage of the pluriannual monthly average.
- Comparison with flood statistics: peak discharge of the past 24 hours, as compared with flood statistics.
- Current water temperature: 24-hour peak values
