Employment barometer in 3rd quarter 2014 – Slight increase in employment
Neuchâtel, 24.11.2014 - (FSO) - According to the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), the quarterly indicators of the employment barometer show employment growth of 0.7% in the 3rd quarter 2014 compared with the same quarter a year earlier. Employment increased again in both the secondary (+0.6%) and tertiary sector (+0.8%). The number of vacancies (-1.6%) fell slightly, whereas the employment outlook indicator (+0.4%) and difficulty in recruiting personnel (+1.6%) increased compared with the same quarter of the previous year.
