Swiss Labour Force Survey (SLFS) and its derivative statistics: working hours – 7.7 billion hours worked in 2014

Neuchâtel, 21.05.2015 - (FSO) - According to results from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), the total number of hours worked in Switzerland reached 7.712 billion in 2014, representing an increase of 1.2% compared with the previous year. Between 2010 and 2014, the actual weekly hours worked by full-time employees declined by 5 minutes and stood at 41 hours and 20 minutes, whereas the number of weeks of holiday rose slightly from 5.0 to 5.1 weeks.
