Employment barometer in 2nd quarter 2015 – Employment growth, but only in tertiary sector
Neuchâtel, 25.08.2015 - (FSO) – In the 2nd quarter 2015 employment rose by 1.2% in comparison with the same quarter a year earlier (+0.4% with previous quarter). Growth was observed in the tertiary sector only (+1.6% in annual comparison), whereas the secondary sector showed a slightly declining tendency (-0.1%). The number of job vacancies fell by 8.3% in comparison with the previous year. The employment outlook indicator (-1.4%) fell slightly in comparison with the same quarter a year earlier. These are some of the findings from the quarterly indicators of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
