Death of the crown prince of Saudi Arabia
Bern, 16.06.2012 - The Swiss authorities have learned to their deep regret that the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has died in Geneva.
The President of the Confederation, Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf, offered her sincere condolences to the Saudi authorities and the Saudi people on behalf of Switzerland and the Swiss Federal Council. The authorities of both countries have been in contact concerning the sequence of events in view of repatriating the body of the deceased to his country.
