Museum Statistics 2023 - 15 million admissions to Swiss museums in 2023
Neuchâtel, 2.12.2024 - After the impact of the COVID–19 pandemic on the years 2020 and 2021, a sharp increase in museum visits has been observed. Almost 15 million admissions to Swiss museums were recorded in 2023. This was an increase of 5% compared with 2019, the last year before the pandemic. Data on accessibility and sustainability were gathered for the first time and are now included in the latest findings from the Swiss Museum Statistics from the Federal Statistical Office (OFS).
