Federal Council extends SRG licence

Biel-Bienne, 30.10.2002 - The Federal Council has extended the current SRG SSR idée suisse licence until the end of 2008 at the latest. However, it may cancel it before that date after the entry into force of the new law on radio and television (Radio- und Fernsehgesetz - RTVG). The licences of Swiss Radio International (swissinfo/SRI), PresseTV, Alphavision and SwissText were also extended.
