The products «Anapen» and «Anapen Junior» are for the use of those suffering from allergies. The product is an emergency self-injection of adrenaline in the case of acute allergic reactions: for example after consuming nuts or following a wasp sting.

The English manufacturer of the auto-injectors has become aware that some of these products may fail to release the active pharmaceutical ingredient (an adrenaline solution), or only release it partially, because of a possible blockage of the needles.

AllergyCare, the firm responsible for this product, is therefore recalling all the injectors as a precautionary measure.
Those suffering from allergies and who use «Anapen» or «Anapen Junior» are therefore asked to contact their physician immediately. Physicians can either prescribe another product with the same effect, or decide whether the patient can wait until the new versions of "Anapen" and "Anapen Junior" are on the market.

According to AllergyCare, both products will once again be available, and of perfect quality, at the beginning of July.
