Swiss Labour Force Survey and derived statistics in 1st quarter 2014: labour supply – 1% increase in number of employed persons; unemployment rate based on ILO definition at 4.8%
Neuchâtel, 15.5.2014 - (FSO) - According to figures from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), the number of employed persons in Switzerland rose by 1.0% between the 1st quarter 2013 and the 1st quarter 2014. During the same period, the unemployment rate as defined by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) increased from 4.6% to 4.8%. Within the EU, the unemployed rate declined from 11.4% to 11.0%.
