Federal Council decides to establish a national human rights institution for Switzerland

Bern, 29.6.2016 - The Federal Council has decided to establish a national human rights institution tasked with further strengthening human rights in Switzerland, supporting public authorities, civil society organisations and businesses in the area of human rights and promoting interaction between the relevant actors. The FDJP and FDFA have been mandated to submit a consultation draft to the Federal Council by the end of June 2017.
