India and Switzerland agree to deepen cooperation
Bern, 31.8.2017 - President Doris Leuthard held official talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, 31 August, as part of her presidential visit to India. In a joint declaration, Switzerland and India reiterated their longstanding ties and the will to deepen the good cooperation in economic matters through the envisaged free trade agreement. The invitation to pay a state visit marks the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship between Switzerland and India.
