Total health expenditure in 2018 at CHF 81.9 bn
Neuchâtel, 28.4.2020 - In 2018, total health care expenditure in Switzerland according to international standards reached CHF 81.9 billion. This corresponds to a 2.8% growth rate with respect to the previous year. These are the latest findings of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) on the costs and financing of the health care system. These results take into consideration a new data source for the calculation of expenditure on doctors’ practices and ambulatory medical centres.
