Allocation of new directory enquiry numbers
Biel-Bienne, 7.11.2006 - On 3 November, OFCOM allocated four additional 18xy numbers on the lottery principle. 1800, 1880, 1881 and 1888 will be added to the fifteen already allocated short directory enquiry numbers on the telephone directories of subscribers to the public telephone service. This means that consumers will benefit from an even broader directory enquiries service offering, replacing 111.
