Fighting terrorism: Indictment filed in relation to Jihadist knife attack in Lugano
Bern, 18.5.2022 - The Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (OAG) has filed an indictment in the Federal Criminal Court against a 29-year-old Swiss woman resident in the canton of Ticino in connection with the knife attack on 24 November 2020 on two women in a department store in Lugano. The suspect is primarily charged with attempted murder and violation of the Al-Qaeda/IS Act. The OAG alleges that she intended to kill her victims and to commit a terrorist act on behalf of IS.
