Federal Council makes no changes to 2024 quotas for third countries
Bern, 29.11.2023 - The Swiss economy should be able to recruit the skilled labour it needs from non-EU/EFTA countries also in 2024. For that reason, the Federal Council is keeping the 2024 quotas for workers from third countries and for service providers at the same level as in the previous year. In addition, the separate quota for UK nationals will also remain unchanged for now, but will be incorporated into the regular quota for third country nationals in the medium term. At its meeting on 29 November, the Federal Council approved the partial amendment to the Ordinance on Admission, Period of Stay and Employment (ASEO). The amendment will come into force on 1 January 2024.
