Statistics on tourist accommodation in 2013 – Increase in overnight stays in youth hostels, decline for campsites
Neuchâtel, 24.04.2014 - (FSO) - According to the final annual results of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), Switzerland's 51 youth hostels included in the survey generated 947,000 overnight stays in 2013, i.e. an increase of 3.3% compared with 2012. For their part, the 418 campsites considered in this statistic recorded 2.9 million overnight stays, representing a decline of 3.4% compared with the previous year.
