Swiss Labour Force Survey 2013 – Part-time work continues to gain ground

Neuchâtel, 25.04.2014 - (FSO) - Between 2003 and 2013, Switzerland's employed population grew by 12.6%. The increase in the number of people working part-time was more than three times greater than that of those working full-time (+24.5% compared with +7.1%). In European comparison, Switzerland has the second largest proportion of part-time workers (36.5%) after the Netherlands. These are the findings of the Swiss Labour Force Survey 2013, carried out by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
