Gross domestic product by canton in 2012 – Moderate differences in cantonal growth with one exception

Neuchâtel, 27.03.2015 - (FSO) - The gross domestic product (GDP) at the previous year's prices increased in all cantons across Switzerland between 2011 and 2012. Growth was between 0.2% and 2.1% with the exception of the canton of Zug which stood out for its particularly high dynamism (+5.6%). This can be explained by the rise observed in services, particularly in financial services. These results are taken from the latest estimates of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
