Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer receives Prime Minister Adrian Hasler

Bern, 24.05.2016 - Today in Bern, Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer, Head of the Federal Department of Finance, met Adrian Hasler, the Prime Minister of Liechtenstein, for a working visit. The ministers discussed international tax issues among other things.

Ueli Maurer and Adrian Hasler used the meeting to discuss current developments with regard to financial and tax matters. They exchanged mutual experiences in connection with the phase 2 review of the Global Forum and discussed implementation of the measures under the base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) project and the further course of action. Other topics in the working visit included combating money laundering and terrorist financing at the European and global level, implementation of the international standard for the automatic exchange of information and the double taxation agreement that the two countries signed on 10 July 2015.
